Standardizing Operating Procedures

From disconnected to collective

Challenge

Bi-coastal teams adapted disparate practices for producing digital and print deliverables. This added complications and confusion while training new colleagues and discussing work amongst team members since differing terminology was often used to identify the same word or process.

Solution

  • Merge processes by having teams test efficiency through self-timing

  • Annotate ease of use throughout a limited testing phase

  • Create an internal central hub for easy access to documentation

Outcome

Aligned terminology and merged documentation yielded a smoother training experience. The internal site kept us organized and we were simply able to quickly reference any guides.
