Making Measurable Metrics

From guesswork to data-driven

Challenge

Managers were evaluated not only on achievements but how we motivated our teams to reach their collective goals. With no framework in place to measure team outcomes, goal setting for incoming projects was ineffective.

Solution

  • Create real-time data visualizations of team's various projects

  • Pull auto-populated analytics from the project management dashboard

  • Work with content operations to build formulas

  • Dig into team's performance metrics to identify opportunities for growth and pre-plan how to address future challenges

Outcome

By utilizing this data-driven approach, which reached beyond department baseline and title level metrics, my suggestions for improvements were supported. Upper management was also able to leverage data for wider departmental needs.
